Christ. USPSA GMs are apparently not very smart.

DQed gun didn't fit the box. He said he didn't take enough off the STI Magwell.

A few weeks ago, I commented on one of Nils' FB photos that showed all of his IDPA gear and asked if the STI magwell would fit in the box.  It was obviously too big.  He assured me that it would.  Oops.

Which makes me wonder why they didnt check all that stuff at the start of the match. It's not Nascar where they tear down all the cars and measure every fucking thing!

Hello! Welcome to the 2013 Nationals. Stick your gun in this box and give him 3 rounds of ammo. Thank You Enjoy the match. It's not that hard.

To everyone one I beat in a match or on a stage. I'm a lard ass half blind screw up who doesn't fire a shot outside of a match.......just how bad do you suck now knowing that.

Haven't made it to the Nats yet. Why does it matter when you chrono as long as you make it? Blake.

I assume Spiffy would like everyone to chrono and do equipment check before shots are fired so they have time to switch out their cheater equipment without getting DQ'd if they are caught. Logistically I don't think that can be done.

No it would keep the cheater gear from getting in.

Great, we have to take another day off work for equipment check/chrono. Another nights stay in a hotel, etc.

Not if he shot the whole match before they found it. But then again when does IDPA do anything that's logical.

It keeps them out of the results and that's the important part right?

Since when does a fat guy in a vest bag on IDPA? That shit is your moneymaker.

Maybe Nils and Seeklander figured the guns didn't need to be legal since half the stages were not.

Sucks for both of them, especially Nils.  He shot the whole match and the equipment check was his last stop.  He would have won ESP and was just a few seconds off Vogel.

If I was Nils I would have asked that the box be calibrated. Every  one I've ever seen looked like a middle school wood shop project.

Box was CNC machined out of some kind of high density nylon/plastic. Not your average crappy box.

I like that when shit is CNC made it means it is infallible. And if you can use a CMM you might possibly be able to walk on water.

He should have taken a rubber mallet with to pound the gun into the box.

I hear there was a group buy on those IDPA boxes.  The lower box was out of spec and the finish was crappy.  Those that paid for a lid were refunded their money.  Even though they had no dog in the fight, the USPSA came in and offered to measure all of the IDPA boxes.  They offered to buy the out of spec boxes or some shit like that.

Who machined it?
